Julia has wonderful experience in managing accommodations internationally. Well rounded and calm, she has a degree in hospitality and hotel management, and is proficient in all aspects of accommodation management. The Estate couldn’t be happier with Julia at the helm, only two years late due to the pandemic! As someone who cherishes nature, Julia also enjoys herbalism and natural healing. A prolific writer, she has a popular private newsletter-blog called ‘Hart’s Desk.’ With a preference for the fastidious, and an unapologetic perfectionist, the Estate could not have found a more suitable manager.
Robyn Chuter – Wellness Consultant
Robyn is a university-qualified health practitioner, with a Bachelor of Health Science (and the Dean’s Medal for Outstanding Academic Achievement) from the University of New England, a Bachelor of Health Science (Honors) with First Class Honors from Edith Cowan University (you can download her Honors thesis here), and a Diploma of Naturopathy from the Australasian College of Natural Therapies.
She also an Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine-Certified Lifestyle Medicine Practitioner, and proud to be a Fellow of the Australasian Society of Lifestyle Medicine. In addition, she holds a Graduate Diploma of Counselling from the Australian College of Applied Psychology, and Level 3 EFT Practitioner and Matrix Re-Imprinting Practitioner accreditations. Since 1995, she has found great satisfaction in helping people become healthy – and happy, something many people overlook when it comes to health.
With a deep desire to alleviate the suffering afflicting many people, lovely Robyn has built a respected reputation for her integrity, efficiency, care and results when it comes to health and contentment. While renovating the Hermes Estate villa, the owner met Robyn and knew she was the perfect choice as the resident therapist to assist special guests in reaching their goals. Having seen her results, Robyn’s presence on the Hermes Estate staff was definitely welcome.
Personal Butler, Chauffeur and Concierge
Your support staff are a refined, carefully selected team of individuals whose passion for service excellence and pampering is unsurpassed. Our butler is an exceptional individual whose experience with serving vips and royalty ensures every detail of your care is perfect.
You may have as much or as little assistance as you require. When you’d like to be catered to, simply message your request, or press the call button. If you prefer to be alone, simply request privacy. Your personal butler is at your disposal 24 hours a day, and will attend to your every need, as well as unpacking your belonging, serving your beverages and turning down your bed.
You also have a personal concierge at your disposal 24 hours a day, whose ability to create fascinating and interesting itineraries is commendable. Your concierge will attend to you if your butler is indisposed; you will always have a staff member at your disposal.
A private chauffeur is available for conveying you to activities and on tours (pre-arranged), or going into town to pick up your morning paper or treats. When the chauffeur is unavailable, your butler or concierge will take his place. With a good knowledge of the local area, you’re in excellent hands with all our well trained and accomplished support staff.
Hermes Estate strives to keep all staff as invisible as possible from guests, unless guests consent to or request attention.
Our wonderful Head Chef is a versatile cuisine artisan! With his lovely French accent and charming French sensibilities regarding ingredients, every flavor is perfectly balanced and sublime to taste. His presentation is a delight, making the plate come to life. A feast for the eyes as well as the mouth.
Part of the charm of Chef’s dishes is that he uses extremely fresh ingredients; the fruits, vegetables and micro herbs used in your salads and garnishes will be picked fresh between 30-90 minutes before they land on your plate! Coupled with his incredible talent for flavor balance, you can be assured of a spectacular, unforgettable dining experience. Our jovial, entertaining chef is an extremely valuable and revered member of our ‘family’, delivering unfailing excellence.
Horticulturalists and Grounds-Keeping Managers
Our grounds-keeping and horticulture staff are long-time locals of the Bellingen Shire. With extensive knowledge of sub-tropical botanicals and temperate florals, our grounds-keeping staff are also well versed in horticulture in general. With a deep love of nature and the outdoors, our grounds staff are a fountain of knowledge when it comes to local flora and fauna. They are also knowledgeable about the area and its history.
Our grounds-keeping staff are the ones who ensure our lush gardens, lawns, fruit orchard and organic vegetable gardens are all pampered & protected. Carefully selected to care for Hermes Estate, our groundskeepers and horticulturalists are amicable, valuable and special members of our little family.
